Delko Construction is a second-generation, family-owned general contracting firm founded in 1981 by Demetrios Kozonis. Demetrios, along with his wife, Chrisoula, secured the company’s first major projects – the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago in Lemont, Stuart R. Paddock Elementary School in Palatine, and Brookfield Library. The success of those early undertakings not only earned Delko high praise from its clients, but was also instrumental in launching a storied career as a renowned general contractor. Today, Maria Kozonis, President, continues the company’s long standing tradition of best-in-class construction services for all types of commercial and residential projects, as well as public-private partnerships.
Delko approaches each project with a collaborative mindset, working with clients, architects, and subcontractors to achieve the common goal of successful project delivery. The company’s specialized divisions and diverse construction experience ensure that each project is matched with appropriate resources and expertise. Through technical skill, preconstruction knowledge, and self-performance capability, Delko anticipates project challenges, develops solutions that meet clients’ objectives, and delivers exemplary projects.
